Accessibility statement

Last updated: 23 October 2026

We want the Wolsley Lettings app to be usable by everyone, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard only, or magnification. This statement explains what we have done, where the app may still fall short, and how to tell us about a barrier.

What we aim for

We aim to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. Those guidelines cover things such as text that can be read against its background, controls that can be reached with a keyboard, labels that explain what a field is for, and text that stays readable when the page is zoomed.

What the app does now

  • Text is set in a plain, readable typeface with a size that can be increased by your browser without losing content.
  • Text and its background use a strong contrast, and colour is never the only way information is shown — expiry dates and warnings also carry words.
  • Buttons, fields and dialogs are built as real controls, so a keyboard and a screen reader can reach and describe them.
  • Every form field has a visible label, and phone and email values are labelled rather than shown as bare numbers.
  • Images that carry no information are hidden from screen readers, and the logo is described.
  • Pages work with a mouse, a keyboard, a touch screen or a phone, and the layout reflows on a small screen.

Where it may still fall short

  • Tables with many columns are wide on a small screen. On a phone the gas engineer list switches to stacked cards, but very long tables elsewhere may still need horizontal scrolling.
  • Safety certificates are shown as PDF documents inside the app. Some PDFs come from third parties and may not themselves be accessible; you can ask us for the same information as plain text.
  • Colour is used to group properties on boards. The same information is always given in words as well, but the grouping itself relies on colour.

Alternative formats

If any part of the app does not work for you, email office@wolsleyletting.com and we will give you the same information another way — for example as a plain-text email, a large-print summary, or a telephone explanation. We will also accept instructions and complaints by telephone or post.

Telling us about a barrier

Please say which page or screen you were using, what you were trying to do, what happened and which device and browser you were using. We will reply within 10 working days with what we found and what we plan to do. If we cannot fix something, we will explain why and offer another way to get the result you need.

Getting further help

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality and Human Rights Commission for advice about accessibility discrimination, or the Digital Accessibility Services dispute resolution service. Details are at equalityhumanrights.com and the dispute resolution service guidance.

Reviewing this statement

We check accessibility when the app changes and at least once a year. This statement was last reviewed on the date shown at the top of the page.
